Name that Conservatory!
As restoration of Stanley Park’s Isla Gladstone Conservatory picks up steam, attention turns to the planned events venue and café the conservatory will eventually house.
A two-level venue, housing an events venue upstairs and a family-friendly café - open seven-days a week on the lower ground floor.
“We see the conservatory as being a base for the community to utilise while they are in the park – the restaurant will be a hive of activity during the fine weather and we hope the local community and wider community of Liverpool will step back into Stanley Park and begin to enjoy it again.
“The café will be open seven-days a week and visitors to the park will be able to see the conservatory in its full glory, including the restored bandstand and landscaped gardens which looks just beautiful.”
Preparations are well under way apart from one minor problem – the café doesn’t have a name!
Gemma continued: “We are calling on the creativity of the people of Liverpool to help us name the café within the Isla Gladstone Conservatory. This is their chance to make their own piece of history and put their own stamp on such an historic building. We want the winning name to be linked to the history of the park and/or the Gladstone Family.”
