Energy Saving Trust Green Communities Conference; Turning ideas into action

On 25 November 2009, The Adelphi, Liverpool, will host the Energy Saving Trust Green Communities annual conference.

Whether you are thinking of developing a scheme or are part of an established group looking to advance your project, this interactive conference aims to assist and inspire you with an exciting mix of speakers, stands and networking opportunities.

There are also many exciting workshops top attend, including: measuring your community’s carbon footprint; making successful planning applications; raising your community’s profile; setting up a community renewable project; and funding.

The conference will provide you with an opportunity to hear from other projects and learn from their success and attend workshops to provide you with the knowledge, skills and support to turn your ideas into action.

It will be a valuable chance to find out more about on-the-ground, community based energy projects.

Speakers throughout the day include George Marshall, founder of the Climate Outreach Information Network and author of 'Carbon Detox: Your Step by Step Guide to Getting Real about Climate Change'.
